Dr. Sarah Edery-Atlas, PT, DPT, OCS is a board certified orthopedic specialist Physical Therapist specializing in Dance Rehabilitation and Neurological Rehabilitation.
As a former professional dancer for The Boston Ballet and The Pennsylvania Ballet, Sarah understands the process of learning and refining motor skills and effectively teachers her patients to learn new motor skills, which she believes is the key to successful physical rehabilitation. She graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Neuroscience and with a Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree. She is a staff Physical Therapist at Harkness Center for Dance Injuries, NYU Langone where she works as a clinician and researcher. She is one of 10% of PhysicalTherapists who are board certified as a specialist and is the Research Chair of the American Physical Therapy Associations’s Performing Arts Special Interest Group. Sarah has previously worked with Neurologic and Orthopedic patients at Kessler Rehabilitation Center in West Orange, NJ.
